PMA Long Course 155 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the PMA Long Course 155, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Citizenship: Pakistani male citizens, including residents of AJK and Gilgit Baltistan
  • Marital Status: Unmarried males only
  • Age Limits: As per education level (detailed below)
  • Qualification: Intermediate, Graduation, and Army Soldiers

Age Limits Based on Qualification

Intermediate 17-22 years (3-month relaxation)
Graduates (4-year programs) 17-24 years
Graduates (BS/BA(Hons)/BBA/BPA) 17-23 years (3-month relaxation)
Serving Army Soldiers 17-25 years

Additionally, dual nationality holders can also apply, but they will need to surrender any non-Pakistani nationality upon final selection.

Individuals Not Eligible to Apply

  • Those rejected twice by ISSB or the GHQ selection and review board
  • Medically unfit candidates (as per military hospital/appeal medical board)
  • Enrolled cadets who have been discharged, withdrawn, or dismissed from the armed forces
  • Individuals convicted by law on immorality charges
  • Candidates dismissed or terminated from government service

PMA 155 Selection Process

The PMA Long Course 155 selection process involves several steps to assess the physical, mental, and academic capabilities of the candidates. Here’s a breakdown:

Written/Intelligence Test

Candidates must pass an academic and intelligence test that includes MCQs from:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Pakistan Studies
  • Islamiat
  • General Knowledge (G.K.)

Medical Examination and Physical Tests

Candidates who pass the written test will undergo a medical examination, followed by physical tests that include:

  • 6 Km run in 8.5 minutes
  • 15 push-ups in 2 minutes
  • 15 sit-ups in 2 minutes
  • 3 chin-ups in 2 minutes
  • Ditch crossing (7.4” x 7.4” with a depth of 4 feet)

Interviews at AS&RC

Successful candidates will be interviewed at their respective AS&RC.

ISSB Test and Interview

Those who clear the initial stages will proceed to the ISSB for further testing and interviews.

Medical Examination at CMH

Candidates recommended by ISSB will undergo a medical examination at the nearest Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

Final Selection

The GHQ will make the final selection based on the candidate’s overall performance in all the above stages.

Candidates must bring the following documents when applying at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RC):

  • Original educational certificates and one set of attested copies
  • CNIC or Form-B (Computerized)
  • 6 recent colored photographs
